- Leigh Youth & Community Development Trust (Leigh Centurions Community Department) aims to be an integral part of the Leigh Community by creating high quality, holistic, vibrant and innovative Community Programmes that not only service the needs of the club but also enhances the image of the sport and lives of all the recipients
Our Aims
We aim to initiate projects and programmes that benefit community groups and individuals in enhancing educational and health issues. The Trust believes that variety and challenge is an essential feature of a successful community.
We aim to organise a wide range of holistic initiatives that will focus not only on mainstream society but also those groups that are disadvantaged through economic and social barriers to participation.
We aim to address social needs in the community through partnerships with other community groups and organisations and the positive role model of a professional sports club and its players to deal with problems of deviant behaviour that will cause disruption of the community's social cohesion.
We aim to include all groups in society regardless of gender, race, age or sexuality in a quest to promote social inclusion within the community which in turn will breed social cohesion
