Leigh Centurions Learning Zone is located inside the stadium at Leigh Sports Village. We are one of Wigan Education Business Partnership's Classrooms in Company, which means that we give children from local schools the opportunity to get out of the classroom and experience a different kind of learning in a working environment.

We are a Playing for Success centre, which means that we are an out-of-school-hours study centre running programmes to help children in Key Stages 2 and 3 develop their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. Playing for Success is a national initiative with over 160 centres nationwide, each representing a partnership between central government (The Department for Children, Schools and Families), the Local Authority and a sports organisation.

Each term we welcome children from local schools to our centre to join the programme, and they enjoy a variety of activities to help improve their skills, each one centred around Leigh Centurions as a club and the sport of Rugby League. Players and coaching staff are important role models for the children, and we are lucky here at the Centurions to have players and coaches helping out with sessions .

We celebrate the achievements of each group of children at the end of the programme with a presentation evening which the players and coaching staff attend.
The centre also offers daytime programmes for Key Stages 1-4, and a Family Learning programme for adults who would like to help their children with their maths, English and ICT.
