Paul Rowley - Patron

Paul has reached the highest point of his career playing for his country, within his career Paul is well known locally. Paul started his playing career at Leigh and after spells in Super League with Halifax and Huddersfield including appearances for England, he returned to Leigh Centurions.

Paul helped the club gain Super League Status and then saw out his last year in 2006 as a player to retire and turn to coaching working alongside Football Manager Darren Shaw, and later Neil Kelly and Ian Millward.
 
 Within his time at the club Paul has worked both voluntarily and paid for the community department and Trust. Paul is a fantastic ambassador for the Trust and its work exemplifying professionalism in all aspects of his career he is a positive role model for local young adults and children.

Andy Burnham MP - Patron

Andy was appointed Secretary of State for Health in 2009 following a short spell as Secretary for Culture Media and Sport. He had previously been Chief Secretary to the Treasury since the summer of 2007. Andy was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the former Home Secretary, David Blunkett between 2003 and 2004.

He was also a member of the Health Select Committee from 2001 to 2003. Andy was elected as a Member of Parliament for Leigh in June 2001. Earlier in his career, he worked as a researcher for Tessa Jowell MP and at the NHS Confederation.
 
 Andy has always played a part in various projects the Trust has worked on including attending launch events, providing invaluable information regarding funding and always taking an interest in the Trust's work. The trust feel exceptionally privileged to have such a high regarded patron as Andy on board.

Hannah Forbes - Community Development Manager

Hannah successfully completed a BA (HONS) Social Science degree from Southampton in 1999 and within six months had moved over 250 miles to join the realms of Rugby League with her first job as Community Liaison Officer at then named Halifax Blue Sox.

Hannah spent two and half years at the club receiving promotion to Community Development Manager and initially setting up the clubs Playing for Success centre. In 2002 Hannah moved down the M62 to Super League's elite club Leeds Rhino's. At the Rhino's Hannah concentrated on funding applications with one of Rugby League's elite funding guru's Steve Ball and worked in the clubs Playing for Success Centre. However within 6 months Hannah had been given the opportunity to set up and run her own Community department at the Centurions.

So in 2003 Hannah moved over the Pennine Border and set up the very successful Centurions Community Department, the clubs Playing for Success centre and is currently setting up a charitable Trust at the club.

Heather Parker - Community Development Officer

Heather completed a degree in Sports Science from Warrington in 2003 and immediately came to work for the Community Department helping to set up various outreach grass roots development programmes within the surrounding area.
 
 Since then Heather has successfully delivered physical activity, health, education and social inclusion programmes to young adults and children of the Leigh area. Heather currently heads up the highly acclaimed Primary schools programme and the Girls Rugby development programmes in the department.
